Answers:

Which pond liner is the right one for me?
Normally this would be NaturaGart green. The 2m wide strips can be perfectly adapted to the excavation with hardly any cutoff losses. The material is extremely durable and can be repaired in case of damage.

Which combination of fleece and liner is good?
1mm liner and Fleece900 cost about the same as the thicker liner wit the thinner fleece. The better decision is the 1mm liner and Fleece900 because the thinner fleece will not stop up leaks and can be perforated by roots.

How does the liner last longer?
Essentially that depends on how it is installed. Ideally this is done on top of Fleece900 and protected against UV radiation while making sure it lays tension free. Such sealing lasts for decades. The more UV reaches the liner and the more mechanical stress it receives, the faster it ages.

What are transportation costs?
Usually between 0.20 and 0.40 Euros per m², depending on weight and distance. Two warehouses, one in the North another in the South reduce transport distances. 100m² liner weigh about 140kg and cost about 50.00 Euros to get to you. Your pond adviser will calculate this for you precisely if your requirements are clear.

Who is my adviser?
You will always have a contact person, who will pass you on to specialists (eg for plants, technical equipment, etc.) when necessary.

Which thickness of liner?
Liners age on the surface. The thicker the core is, the longer they will last. 1mm liner with Fleece900 is a good solution. If your budget can cover the thicker liner, then that is recommended. If you will live to see the difference, no-one can tell...

What discounts are possible?
For liners you can get discounts based on the amount you purchase.

On top of that you get 2% discount on prepayment.

What security do I have?
For large projects we can secure prepayments with bank guarantees.

But also: We've been on the market for 30 years. During this period some competitors have suffered various bankruptcies. This has of course done away with any warranty promises...

NaturaGart is not some hut set up in the back yard of an industrial estate. We are market leaders with our own leisure park.

Wherever you go for information to find out more about us you will be able to confirm that this company supplies optimum quality and is set up as a serious going concern.

As opposed to some of our competitors we do not have to fear enquiries about our credit worthiness.

What is the delivery time for construction materials?
If the measurements are clear, it usually takes 1-3 days for your liner to arrive at your address. Try to plan in some extra time as a reserve in case the transport company has problems.

Guaranteed delivery has to be agreed from case to case.

What manuals do I get?
More than any other supplier will give you. Apart form that many products come with special installation instructions.

Can I request help for laying the liner?
Usually this is not necessary. In emergency cases and for large projects we can send a colleague to you who can help, for example, to lay the liner in complicated situations.

Liner or shell?
Prefabricated shells look nice and easy. In practice, however, you have to excavate a hollow shape that resembles the shell's shape as closely as possible. This is often underestimated.

In the end it will only just about fit so that you have to stop up the inevitable gaps by stamping soil into them. Once the basin is full the poorly compacted soil gives so that many of these hard shell ponds aren't level. And another thing about 'hard shells': The smaller ponds are usually made from deep-drawn polyethylene. The edges feel tough but the deep-drawn parts are much thinner - sometimes even thinner than a liner. With the harder fibreglass shells there have been bankruptcies because they didn't yield when they froze over and ended up breaking apart.
The NaturaGart liner is, of course, much more elastic than a hard shell. If they are additionally secured with Fleece900 or even shore and composite mat, you can achieve a resistant hull that is far superior to plastic shells.

Standard pond or made-to-measure?
Up to 30m² of required liner the standard sizes are least expensive. For made to measure ponds a lot of liner can be saved. That often reduces material costs by 20-30%. That is well worth while!

Are creases in the liner a problem?
Normally creases will only form in the corners. How big they are depends on how steep the bank is. The easiest thing is to use composite mat to cover the creases.

If you like, you can also use a strip of liner to glue the crease to the wall. The liner needn't be cut and optically it has the same effect.

Isn't it better to weld the liner into the excavation locally?
This is only necessary in very few special cases. Normally the issue is creases which are better covered up than cut open. Cutting open and gluing creases in the corners is risky because the soil beneath can give a few centimetres due to the water pressure. A seam is double and cannot stretch. Stresses concentrate in the few millimetre wide strip next to the seam, which can make the liner rip in those places.

Cutting open creases should be carefully considered. Nearly every year we have situations in which we have to send welding technicians to the construction site because of this.

And if I insist on crease-free installation?
In that case we can always send someone over to weld the liner into the excavation locally. Everything is possible, but obviously will influence the price.
