The idea for the foundation of the company was born in an editorial office that used to produce magazine articles and films, mainly about nature and garden topics. The intensive preoccupation with these subjcets lead to a good insight into the market and to ideas for better products.

The biologist Norbert Jorek thus founded a company to implement these ideas. In the beginning focus was on the sale of books, and later came a wide range of products. In the beginning few own products existed, but over time products developed in-house became the main source of income.

In the beginning NaturaGart was a one-man company in the corner of a room in a rented apartment. Today it owns a 140,000m² property and several buildings with a working area of about 5,000m².

Production of books in the editorial office:
We produce about 30 books for different publishing houses.

Today (2006) NaturaGart employs about 50 people full time, plus another 50 on a seasonal basis.
