Topic: Easily Install Large Liners
Large Ponds with Bays and Islands Aren't a Problem.

Dates: April to September

Summary:
Standard pond liners are four, six or eight metres wide. This causes many ponds to be built either as ovals or rectangles. Also, the narrow width often forces the pond walls to become very steep, which in turn can pose a safety risk for children.

This doesn't necessarily have to be so! NaturaGart's clients benefit from our more than 30 years of experience. During this time NaturaGart has supplied expertise and construction materials for more than 50,000 ponds. And currently this sum increases by more than 1,500 ponds every year, of which more than 500 are swimming ponds. The pond builder simply lays a cord through the hole and measures to the left and right every 1.95m. If to one side a bay reaches out into the garden, the measurement - and hence the liner - is simply longer on that side.

Expansion:
Even large ponds can be 'diy'-built in this way without any problems. Liner segments of up to 1,000 kilos are supplied in one piece. The liner is brought to a predetermined corner of the pond, unrolled along its width and its length pulled across the pond.

Installing 600m² pond liner this way takes 6 people about half an hour without the help of professionals.

NaturaGart aids the construction of the pond with over 500 pages of manuals and can even provide a camera that is plugged into an ISDN socket on the building site. This way the NaturaGart experts have an on-line view of the site and can supervise the installation of the liner from 1,000 kilometres away.

The made to measure liner segments are also suitable for very large installations. Here sheets of fleece are being laid out.
Large pieces of liner can quickly and easily be laid out with four people.
When installing very large liners we recommend 'inviting' a few friends.

The liner is brought to a predetermined corner of the pond and first unrolled along its width.
Laying out a 600m² liner usually takes no longer than half an hour.
Measurements are made from a cord along the middle of the pond. The starting point lies a bit outside the hole.
The measured lengths are recorded on a sketch.
